Gradual migration of service requests and grievances to the IRINN Portal

IRINN wishes to inform all Affiliates and Applicants that it has initiated the gradual migration from the existing email-based ticketing system to the New IRINN Portal as part of its efforts to provide a more streamlined, transparent, and efficient service mechanism.

Currently, requests and queries are also being handled through the existing email IDs [email protected], [email protected], [email protected].

However, these email-based channels will be phased out gradually, and Affiliates and Applicants are therefore encouraged to start using the IRINN Portal as the preferred channel for raising and tracking their requests.

Services available through the IRINN Portal

The following major IRINN services can be initiated through the portal:

  1. New Internet Number Resource Allocation
  2. Transfer of Internet Number Resources
  3. Additional Internet Number Resource Requests
  4. Grievances, queries, Contact update and other resource-related requests

Affiliates and Applicants are strongly encouraged to raise their grievances and service-related requests through the Grievance section of the IRINN Portal. The portal provides a structured mechanism for proper monitoring, status tracking, transparency, and faster resolution of requests.

This migration is being undertaken as part of IRINN's continued efforts to improve the efficiency, transparency, accountability, and overall experience of its service delivery mechanism.

All Affiliates and Applicants are requested to extend their cooperation during this transition and progressively adopt the IRINN Portal as the primary channel for interacting with IRINN.

New applicants — Application processing time and advisory

IRINN wishes to inform all prospective applicants that the evaluation and resource allocation process for new applications typically takes 3–4 weeks, depending on the completeness and adequacy of the justification submitted along with the application.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit accurate, complete, and duly verified documentation to avoid delays in processing.

Advisory on use of middlemen/brokers

IRINN advises all applicants to refrain from engaging middlemen, agents, or brokers while submitting applications. Past experience has shown that in several instances, such intermediaries have submitted misrepresented details and documents on behalf of applicants, often without the applicant's knowledge or awareness, leading to processing delays, discrepancies, and complications during evaluation.

Applicants are advised to interact directly with IRINN for all application-related matters to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely resolution of their requests.
